The Town of Queen Creek is proud to announce an opportunity for the public to participate in the naming of five community parks. The contest is open to all individuals, and is a chance for residents to show off their creative talent while making a mark on the community.
The Town recently completed the process of master planning the next five community parks and is now seeking input on possible names for those parks. The recreational areas under development will be constructed at various intervals over the next several years. Some parks will be active and include multi-purpose athletic fields, ball fields, playgrounds and picnic pavilions, while others will be passive and include features such as open space, picnic pavilions and small playgrounds. The master plan for each of the parks, the contest submission form, as well as the rules of the contest, may be found on the Town of Queen Creek’s Web site, www.queencreek.org, or picked up at the Parks and Recreation Department, located at 22350 S. Ellsworth Road.
All entries will be reviewed by the Parks, Trails and Open Space Committee, and a recommendation will be given to the Town Council for a final decision. Deadline for contest entries is March 28.
We look forward to receiving many unique names which are representative of our community!
