Queen Creek has a number of parks and trails waiting for you to explore today!

When visiting Queen Creek's parks, please adhere to all Facility Rules and Regulations.

Frontier Family Park

Hours: 5:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Splash Pad Hours: 

9 a.m. - 7 p.m.  (March, April, October)

8 a.m. - 9 p.m. (May, June, July, August, September)

Queen Creek's newest park is now open and features the following amenities:

  • Three lighted multi-purpose fields
  • Six lighted baseball/softball fields (315' fences)
  • Twenty-Four lighted pickleball courts
  • Two lighted sand volleyball courts 
  • Two lighted basketball courts
  • One inclusive playground similar to Mansel Carter Oasis Park
  • Ten picnic ramadas (two corporate ramadas)
  • 5-acre fishing lake 
  • 2 large-group picnic ramadas
  • ADA access
  • Ample parking

The lake at Frontier Family Park requires a fishing license for anyone 10 years old and over.


Desert Mountain Park

Hours: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

22201 S. Hawes Road

This award-winning 29-acre park features the following amenities:

  • Two lighted multi-purpose fields
  • Four lighted Little League fields
  • Two playgrounds (one designed for 2-5 year olds, one designed for 5-12 year olds)
  • One interpretive playground
  • Two sand volleyball courts (with a sprinkler system to wet down the sand)
  • Two lighted basketball courts
  • Eight picnic ramadas (one large-group ramada)
  • One amphitheater (with picnic ramada seating for 150-200 people)
  • Demonstration garden
  • Equestrian staging area
  • Wash trail access
  • ADA access
  • Ample parking

Founders' Park

Hours: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Skate Park Hours: 7 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Splash Pad Hours: 

10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (March, April, September, October)

9 a.m. - 7 p.m. (May - August)

Founders' Park is an 11-acre park located across the street from Town Hall in the heart of Queen Creek. This neighborhood park is a community gathering place and host to many special events including Founders' Day and more! Founders' Park features our Splash Pad at Founders' Park, and is located across from the Pocket Park for Pups Dog Park.

Additional amenities include:

  • One lighted softball field
  • One lighted multi-purpose field
  • Two lighted basketball courts
  • Lighted skate park

Mansel Carter Oasis Park

Hours: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Lake at Mansel Park: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Splash Pad at Mansel Park:

9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (March,  April,  October)

8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (May, June, July, August, September)

** the splash pad will close for the season Oct. 10 for resurfacing - the product requires warmer temperatures to properly adhere**

Wheel Friendly Plaza: 7 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

  • A playground centrally located in the ball field complex
  • A pump track located next to the skate park and basketball courts

  • 5-acre fishing lake
  • Peninsula with rock waterfall
  • Eight picnic ramadas (two large-group ramadas)
  • Wheel-friendly skate plaza
  • Sand discovery dig zone
  • Shipwreck-themed splash pad
  • Three fitness pods
  • Equestrian hitch post

The Lake at Mansel Park is part of Arizona Game & Fish Department's community fishing program and requires a license for anyone 10 years old and over. The lake at Mansel Carter Oasis Park is the Town’s first lake and efficiently uses the Town’s recovered water and avoids using potable (drinking) water for landscaping at the park.

Pocket Park for Pups

All days except Tuesdays:  7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Tuesday: noon - 10 p.m.

Come spend some time with your furry friends at the Town's one-acre, lighted dog park! The park is located south of Town Hall on Ellsworth Road. The off-leash park consists of two separate grass-play areas, with interim amenities, enclosed fencing, and a drinking fountain.

Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre

This majestic, 38 acre facility, located in the Phoenix metropolitan area, provides ample opportunity for events of both the English and Western equestrian persuasion, as well as Vendor Fairs, Concerts, and Rodeos

Neighboring Queen Creek to the South, San Tan Mountain Regional Park is a 10,000+ acres of Sonoran Desert beauty ranging in elevation from about 1,400 feet to over 2,500 feet. Goldmine Mountain rises in the northern portion of the park. Along the trails, vegetation will change from creosote flats to dense saguaro forest. Various types of wildlife may be seen, including reptiles, birds, and mammals. Stop by the Nature Center to pick up educational tidbits, purchase souvenir items, visit with park staff and rangers, view the wildlife exhibits and tortoise habitat.

Lightning detection systems have been installed at Town of Queen Creek parks including Frontier Family Park, Founders’ Park, Desert Mountain Park and Mansel Carter Oasis Park. Visit park pages to learn more about the systems and view current weather conditions.
