The Town of Queen Creek will be honoring Constitution Week from Sept. 16 - 22. The Town will join the national effort to unify the community around our foundation and the freedoms we enjoy in this great county.
Student contest
Queen Creek students are invited to participate in the Constitution Week Art & Essay Contest.
- Open to K-12 students in Queen Creek
- Accepting submissions Aug.1-26
- Two categories - Founding Father Fun & What the Constitution Means to Me
- Founding Father Fun - Create an original art piece of one or more Founding Fathers using the art medium of your choice or write a one-page letter to one of the Founding Fathers highlighting their legacy.
- What the Constitution Means to Me – Produce an original piece of art or write a one-page essay depicting what the U.S. Constitution means to you.
To enter, please fill out the entry form and drop it off at the Town of Queen Creek Municipal Services Building (22358 S. Ellsworth Road). Winners will be announced at the Sept. 18 Town Council meeting, with selected entries displayed at Founders' Day on Sept. 21. The first-place winner will receive a family-four pack to the Pecan Lake Entertainment Center.
Community Concert
Join high schools from throughout Queen Creek on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center to celebrate Constitution Week with a Community Concert. Free to attend.
Join us at Founders' Day on Sept. 21 and visit with Town Council and staff at the Constitution Booth and participate in the Founder's Fashion Gallop.
