Pavement Preservation Program

Fall Seal Coat Program:  The Town of Queen Creek has contracted with Holbrook Asphalt to conduct pavement preservation treatment for streets in the Harvest at Queen Creek neighborhood. Due to the nature of this work and to prevent damage to the new surface and driveways, streets designated for pavement preservation treatment will be CLOSED for travel for 12 hours while work takes place. The closing of roads for this work has been sequenced to minimize the distance to residences from where vehicles may need to be parked. Please have trash receptacles out by 6 a.m. on collection days.

Residents will receive a door hanger in advance of the work with the scheduled dates for their neighborhood and signage will also be posted on the road to let them know work will begin soon.

Streets being treated will be closed at 7 a.m. on the day of application and the road will not be available for travel for any purposes. If access to vehicles is needed during the road closure, vehicles should be parked outside of the area designated as closed in the door hanger distributed by the contractor.

Water may damage the installation of the surface treatment.  Please do not have sprinklers set to come on 24 hours before the road closure, during the road closure, or 24 hours after the road closure.  ROADS THAT CANNOT BE TREATED ON THE SCHEDULED DAY DUE TO WEATHER OR EQUIPMENT ISSUES WILL FALL TO THE END OF THE SCHEDULE AND RESIDENTS WILL BE RE-NOTIFIED BY DOOR HANGER AND THE PROJECT WEBSITE WILL BE UPDATED.

Fall Seal Coat Program:  Please zoom in and click on your street for schedule information. Please note that work in Sossaman Estates has been postponed while additional preparatory work takes place - dates on the map below for Sossaman Estates will be updated once the work is rescheduled, and residents will be renotified.

Fall Chip Seal Program: The Town of Queen Creek has contracted with Cactus Asphalt to conduct pavement preservation treatment for the following areas:

  • Streets between Cloud Road and Chandler Heights Road, and between Sossaman Road and Power Road
  • Bell Road, between Hunt Highway and Skyline Drive

This treatment consists of two separate surface applications. Work has been scheduled to avoid collection days for Queen Creek Trash Service.

Currently scheduled to take place beginning the week of November 11, crews will first apply a Fractured Aggregate Surface Treatment (FAST) as a base coat, and scheduled to follow the week of November 18, crews will apply a final surface seal.

Residents will receive a door hanger in advance of the work with confirmed dates and additional details for their neighborhood and signage will also be posted on the road to let them know work will begin soon.

For these applications, access will be restricted for a brief period (typically 30 minutes to an hour) while work takes place directly across driveways. To avoid the possibility of getting the tar-like substance on cars or driveways, please plan NOT to enter or exit driveways while the application process is occurring. Some sloughing, or small loose rocks, on the roadway is expected and will be minimized by the final seal which takes place soon following the FAST application.

Water may damage the installation of the surface treatment.  Please do not have sprinklers set to come on 24 hours before the application dates, during the application, or 24 hours after the application.  In the event of inclement weather or resource availability issues, work will be rescheduled, and impacted residents will be renotified via door hanger.
