The Engineering Division provides in-house professional engineering services such as reviews of subdivision plats, project improvement plans and reports, development agreements, easements, and other engineering-related documents for new and existing developments. 

Engineering also processes right-of-way encroachment permits and performs construction right-of-way inspections for private development and public (CIP) improvements.  Engineering ensures that projects are compliant with Local, County and National engineering standards, the Town’s Subdivision Ordinances, Town Code, as well as other statutory regulations.

The Engineering Division facilitates plan review and right-of-way encroachment permit issuance online utilizing the Town Development NEXUS, which is also accessible from the Town’s Home Page on the internet.

We encourage you to communicate with us directly through the NEXUS, email, or telephone. This continues to be the fastest and most effective way to communicate with the Engineering Staff and process your projects quickly and efficiently.

The Engineering Division also manages the Town’s Floodplain Administration consistent with the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), National, State, County, and Local Drainage Regulations, Town Subdivision Ordinance, and Design Standards and Procedures Manual.
