The inspector is looking for any violation that does not comply with the trash and recycling services portion of the Town code.

The inspection notices are for the resident's information only and provides educational instructions and links to webpages on how to comply with the rules and regulations of the program.

Our inspectors look for:

• Overfilled carts. Be sure to keep your cart lids closed!
• Items that do not belong in your recycling cart — such as plastic bags, greasy pizza boxes, wood, or yard waste — that could contaminate the load. Learn about what's recyclable in Queen Creek.
• Trash that is not bagged and tied.
• Carts that are not placed correctly.
• Yard waste that is not properly bagged, bundled, or tied.
• Hazardous wastes such as paint, chemicals, oil, and other flammable materials that can cause truck fires.
• Manure carts that contain wet manure or manure that is not bagged and tied.

These numbers are assigned to home addresses and are easily looked up by the inspector to notify customer service, the contracted hauler, or the resident of any immediate issues.

The serial number is also used to track the number of carts left in inventory and provided to residents who call about their missing carts.

Residents are responsible for keeping their carts clean and sanitary.
