A candidate is required to register a committee if the candidate receives contributions or makes expenditures, in any combination, of at least $500 in connection with that candidacy. Candidates must comply with all State campaign finance laws, which establish, among other things, when a candidate is required to form a committee, how a candidate's committee must be constituted, contribution limits, and when campaign finance reports are required and their content.
An entity must register a political committee if it meets both of the following conditions: 1) the entity is organized for the primary purpose of influencing the result of an election; and 2) the entity knowingly receives contributions or makes expenditures (in any combination) in excess of the current threshold financial level.
All forms are in a fillable PDF format and are required to be filed with the Town Clerk’s Office at 22358 S Ellsworth Road or by email to TownClerk@QueenCreekAZ.gov by the deadline set forth in A.R.S. to avoid filing penalties.
Currently, there is no on-line system for filing local campaign finance reports.
