The Fleet Services Division strives to maintain the Town's fleet of vehicles and equipment by providing preventative maintenance (PM) on a consistent basis. During all PM Services, Town Staff will preform a 99 point inspection of each vehicle or piece of equipment in order to identify any potential defects or failures that can be repaired before they cause downtime or further damage.
A few examples of common Preventive Maintenance Services are as follows: PM-A is every 3,500 to 4,500 miles, PM-B is done every 50,000 miles, and PM-E is done at 5 years of age and every 3 years afterwards. All of these service levels coincide with one another and allow for an extended lifespan and reduction of operating costs for the Town's fleet of vehicles and equipment.
