Arizona law requires law enforcement agencies to tow and impound vehicles for twenty (20) days that are in violation of ARS 28-3511. Such violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Revoked driver’s license
  • No record of ever having a permit or driver’s license
  • Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and arrested for Aggravated or Extreme DUI or while underage
  • Canceled driver’s license and having been involved in a collision and cannot provide proof of insurance at the time of the stop
  • Operating a vehicle without a certified ignition interlock device, when required
  • Street Racing (7 day impoundment)
