Chief Randy Brice

Brice, Randy

Chief Randy Brice is Queen Creek's first Chief of Police. His outstanding reputation and impressive track record set a high bar for Queen Creek's Police Department. Chief Brice has worked in law enforcement for over 30 years and brings important perspectives to Queen Creek.

Chief Brice began his career with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in 1992. During that time, he worked in many capacities throughout the organization and earned several unique certifications, including Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Paramedic (CEP).

In 2016, Chief Brice retired from the Sheriff’s Office at the rank of Captain and joined the Gilbert Police Department as a Commander. He later served as Interim Chief of Police and Assistant Chief of Police prior to joining the Queen Creek team.

Chief Brice was appointed as the Chief of Police, and the very first police department employee for the Town of Queen Creek, on July 20, 2020. Over the next 18 months, with the help of an extraordinary team, Chief Brice endeavored to assemble an organization built upon the tenets of community policing, community engagement, and community participation. He has developed a culture of exceptional customer service, compassion, respect, and trust. His vision for the department and community is that “we will connect, engage, and succeed together.”

Chief Brice has earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership. He is a graduate of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) and the FBI National Academy, Session #249, in Quantico, VA.

Chief Brice is a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy Associates (FBINAA); International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP); Arizona Association of Chiefs of Police (AACOP); East Valley Police Chiefs Association (EVPCA); and the Pinal County Law Enforcement Association (PCLEA).


Commander Noah Johnson

Johnson, NoahNoah Johnson started his law enforcement career at 14 when he joined the Tempe Police cadet program, solidifying his career path. Prior to becoming a police officer, Noah served as a correctional officer and jailer. During his 25 years with Tempe Police, Noah served in every bureau and retired as a commander. After retiring, Noah worked for the Kyrene School District as their Safety and Security Coordinator, working with teachers and principals on the front line of education. Noah is a FAA commercial rated pilot and certified flight instructor. Noah and his wife served in the foster care system as mentors. In addition to their own children and grandchildren, they have been lucky enough to add many more into their lives. 


Commander Mark Newman

Newman, MarkMark Newman started his career in law enforcement with the New York Police Department. In 2008, he joined the Peoria Police Department. During his 13 years with Peoria PD, Mark served in a variety of capacities including as a narcotics/organized crime sergeant, patrol sergeant, field training officer, crisis negotiator, and general instructor. Mark obtained a Master of Organizational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Arizona State University. Mark is a dedicated Sun Devil and has been a football season ticket holder since he returned to Arizona in 2008. In his free time, Mark enjoys exploring Arizona with his wife and kids.
