QCFMD expanding ETSTo ensure consistency and high-quality emergency services, the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department is expanding their emergency transportation services (ambulance services).

The Town’s ambulance service will include a unit at each of the Town’s five fire stations. Four of the Ambulance and crewunits will be fully staffed, providing 24/7 coverage and flexible deployment to optimize response times. Each ambulance will be staffed with two employees: one EMT- paramedic and one EMT-basic.

Expanding the ambulance program will ensure more units are available and a continuity of care.

The Town’s ambulance service will not result in a tax increase. Fees for service will offset a portion of the cost, and the remaining costs will be funded by the Town’s operating budget.

In 2016, the Town received its Certificate of Necessity (CON) from AZDHS, who oversees ambulance services throughout the state, to provide emergency transportation services.

Fees for the Town’s ambulance service are regulated by AZDHS. Patients who use the Town’s ambulance service will receive a bill from the Town (in lieu of the bill that is currently issued by the private provider).
