Pool Fence Requirements The Town of Queen Creek requires a pool barrier to be provided for all swimming pools. Barriers are required for both above and in-ground pools. Examples of these barriers include a five-foot-high fence on three sides of the pool along with either a motorized safety pool cover, or a ground level door that is self closing and self latching. Another way to meet the pool safety barrier requirements is by having five-foot-high fences on all sides of the pool. While there are specific restrictions placed on each of these examples, it is important to know that each pool must be protected by some type of barrier. For specific details of barrier requirements, please refer to Town Ordinance No. 479-10.
