One-story detached structures used as a tool or storage sheds, playhouses and similar uses, do not require a building permit, provided the floor area does not exceed 200 square feet. In addition, all structures are required to be constructed to the applicable standards of the International Building Codes, and associated building codes adopted by the town.

All structures must abide by all detached accessory structure and setback regulations set forth in the Town’s Zoning Ordinance. Zoning requirements can vary from subdivision to subdivision.
