A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of October.
Council Member Oliphant provided remarks at the "Mental Health Fest" pop-up yoga event on September 28.
At the October 2 Town Council Meeting, the Queen Creek Town Council approved the appointment of the first members of the Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee.
"Praise in the Park" was held on October 4 at Founders' Park, which Council Member Dawn Oliphant welcoming attendees with remarks.
Mayor Wheatley attended the first-ever Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee meeting, held October 15.
At the October 16 Town Council Meeting, the Council recognized the first recipients of the QC Neighborly Award, Ironwood Crossing, for their Little Lending Library and rock display!
The Town Council also recognized the Southeast Valley Young Marines during the Red Ribbon Week proclamation.
In recognition of the upcoming Pancake Breakfast on November 9, Town Council joined in the fun with some event promo photos!
Council Member Bryan McClure attended the HOPE Mental Health Foundation Gala on October 19.
Attending the Maricopa Association of Government's Regional Council Meeting on October 23, Mayor Wheatley joined Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, Gilbert Mayor Bridgette Peterson and Maricopa Mayor Nancy Smith in a WAYMO ride to downtown Phoenix.
Queen Creek held its annual Employee Appreciation BBQ on October 31, with Mayor Wheatley and Council Member Padilla joining to recognize Queen Creek staff members.
A community interfaith Thanksgiving service was held on November 3, with Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Member McClure attending on behalf of the Town. Mayor Wheatley provided closing remarks.
Council Member Bryan McClure attended "Donuts with Grownups" event at Jack Barnes Elementary School on November 6.
