Registration for the Town of Queen Creek’s summer session of recreation classes opened today for Town residents and will open on May 8 for non-residents. MCSO Queen Creek Hosts Coffee with a Cop May 6
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) District 6 Queen Creek invites residents to come together to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee. Coffee with a Cop is a free community event and will be held on May 6 from 9-11 a.m. at Target, located at 221398 S. Ellsworth Loop Road. The event will also include festivities for the kids including McGruff the crime dog, operation Child ID fingerprinting, and lots of free giveaways. Queen Creek Celebrates Tourism and Economic Development
The Town will celebrate Travel and Tourism Week and Economic Development Week in May. Economic development and tourism are both important components to the success of the community. Not only do they help support the Town's budget through revenue generation, the Town's Economic Development Department is essential for job creation for residents and improved quality of life. In honor of the two recognition weeks, visit some of Queen Creek's unique agritainment destinations like the Queen Creek Olive Mill, Schnepf Farms and Hayden Flour Mill at Sossaman Farms.

Connection from Pima Rd to Queen Creek Rd to Open May 15
Pinal County recently completed improvements to Pima Road, including a connection to Queen Creek Road at Meridian Road. The connectivity will result in through traffic from Ellsworth Road to Ironwood Road, and further east into unincorporated Pinal County.
The following steps are being take to help mitigate increased traffic:
- Pinal County provided a temporary traffic signal for the intersection of Queen Creek Road and Signal Butte Road that was activated on Thursday, April 27.
- The Town will be extending the existing left turn lane on southbound Ellsworth Road onto Queen Creek Road, adding an additional right turn lane on westbound Queen Creek Road onto northbound Ellsworth Road and an additional right turn lane on eastbound Queen Creek onto southbound Crismon. The additions are anticipated to be complete May 15.

Enjoy the Zest of Life at Lemonade Days on May 20
Kick off the summer season with Lemonade Days on Saturday, May 20 from noon to 8 p.m. at Founders' Park. Sponsored by the Town of Queen Creek, this summer fun event will offer a family friendly day of play complete with interactive games and activities, great food and live entertainment featuring Georgia Chrome. General admission for Lemonade Days is $8 online during presale and $10 at the gate, kids 12 years and under will be admitted for free. Attractions and activities at the event, excluding entertainment, have additional costs. VIP admission is $45 per person. From Streets to Parks and Solid Waste, Your Public Works Department Connects Us All!
The Town of Queen Creek is celebrating Public Works Week May 21-27. With the theme ‘Public Works Connects Us,’ Public Works Week is a reminder of the important, core functions the professionals in the public works field provide on a daily basis including streets, solid waste, recycling, facility maintenance, the capital improvement program (CIP), fleet and municipal grounds.

Free Rainwater Harvesting Workshop May 27
Learn to design a sensible, earth-friendly yard to collect or utilize rainwater from roofs, driveways, patios and sidewalks at the FREE Rainwater Harvesting Workshop. The class will be held on Saturday, May 27 from 9 -10:30 a.m. at the Queen Creek Town Hall. There is no charge to Town of Queen Creek utility customers, but registration is required. The Water Use It Wisely Tower will be on display at the Queen Creek Library during the month of May. Gain a better understanding of daily water use, get water conservation tips or enjoy a water related story at the library in honor of the Tower’s visit.

Queen Creek Fire and Medical Encourages Safety Around Water
As the temperatures continue to rise, the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department (QCFMD) reminds residents to be safe around water and help prevent drowning by following the ABCs of water safety: Adult supervision, Barriers between children and water, and Classes in CPR for adults and swim lessons for children. The Queen Creek Arts Festival is May 10 and 11 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. QCUSD students will be showing off their artistic talent during the FIRST ever district-wide arts show. Admission is FREE!
