Free child identification clinic

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and SuperTarget at Queen Creek Marketplace will host a free Child Identification Clinic on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon. Taking place at the SuperTarget, 21398 S. Ellsworth Road, this event will provide each parent with a laminated photo identification card of their child and a CD with a photo, digital fingerprints, video, voice recording and child safety tips. 

The Sheriff’s Office encourages all parents to keep current records and identification for their child, which may be used by law enforcement if the need arises. 

The Aug. 4 event is for children 3 years old and older. 

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, it is estimated that 800,000 children are reported missing in the United States each year. More than 200,000 are abducted by family members.
