Ages 12-18. Learn about the art and history of this traditional East Indian art form with Purvi Galiya as she puts henna designs on your hands, feet, or arms. Henna is a plant-based colorant that will remain on the skin for 5 days to 2 weeks, depending on care. This event is NOT recommended for teens who are competitive or daily swimmers as the henna will fade quickly upon full immersion in water. Space is limited. Registration AND a signed parental permission slip are needed in order to participate in this program. Permission slips may be downloaded from the Web calendar or picked up at the main desk at the library and MUST be handed in prior to attendance at the program. Zane Grey Community Room.
