Fair Housing Workshop

The Town of Queen Creek is proud to offer a free fair housing training in conjunction with Maricopa County Community Development Services and the Southwest Fair Housing Council on Wednesday, June 22 at the Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. A representative from the Southwest Fair Housing Council will provide an overview on fair housing law in two sessions.

The first session, offered from 1-4 p.m., will be geared toward realtors, property managers/owners, leasing agents and other housing professionals. Realtors attending the three-hour workshop can earn ADRE authorized fair housing REALTOR re-licensing credit.

The second session, offered from 5:30-7 p.m., will summarize fair housing law, but will not provide credit. This session is designed for the general public and anyone interested in learning about fair housing.

The Federal Fair Housing Laws give all individuals the right to live wherever they choose, and can afford. The laws prohibit discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, disability (physical and/or mental), and familial status (families with children).
