The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Federal Highway Administration are continuing the environmental and engineering studies for the new State Route (SR) 802 Freeway. SR 802 begins at Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) in the vicinity of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and continues east to Ironwood Road.
The purpose of the public hearing is to provide information about the
recommended alternative for SR 802 from Loop 202 to Ironwood Road, its
potential environmental impacts, and to receive public comments on the
draft Environmental Assessment. A presentation with an overview of the
proposed project will begin at 6:30 p.m. Project representatives will be
available to discuss the recommended alternative and any associated
impacts. A court reporter will be present to record the proceedings,
including public comment.
