The Queen Creek Fire Department in conjunction with the National Weather Service, is offering residents of all ages the opportunity to learn how to identify and report severe weather. Participants in this class will learn about thunderstorms, cloud features associated with microbursts and tornadoes, estimating wind speeds and how local weather spotters can assist the National Weather Service issue warnings and advisories.
This free class will be offered Tuesday, June 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Queen Creek Library, Zane Gray Conference Room located at 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Seating is limited to 50 participants. To register, contact Jon Spezzacatena at 480-358-3028 or jon.spezz@queencreek.org
