Dr. James Ashley and his outdoor telescopic event will provide a unique experience of desert stargazing for the entire family! By sunset Jupiter will be high in the sky and ready for telescopic viewing. Its moons, Europa, Ganymede and Calisto will be clearly visible on one side of the giant orb, with the moon visible on the other. All four moons will be tightly clustered near the planet -- a rare sight! Springtime constellations and deep-sky objects will decorate the heavens overhead. We will see Leo the Lion, Virgo the Maiden, and Canis Minor the Small Dog. Star clusters, double stars and galaxies are all within the power of the deep sky portable observatory!
