You are invited to a project open house to learn about the following CIP Projects:
Rittenhouse Road Improvement Project:
Rittenhouse Road from Sossaman Road to Queen Creek Marketplace (just west of Ellsworth Loop Road), will be widened to a five-lane major arterial roadway with two lanes in each direction and a center lane. Improvements will include street lighting, bike lanes, sidewalk, and landscaping. Design should be completed by early 2013, with utility relocation currently scheduled for early to mid-2014, construction beginning in mid-2014, and completion estimated for spring 2015.

Ocotillo Road & Union Pacific (UPRR) Railroad:
Improvements will take place on Ocotillo Road at the UPRR crossing to construct two additional traffic lanes, bike lanes and sidewalk across the tracks. Design plans are nearing completion and will require review and approval by the UPRR and Arizona Corporation Commission. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in spring 2014 with project completion estimated for summer 2015.

Ocotillo Road, Ellsworth Loop to Heritage Loop, Project:
Improvements will widen Ocotillo Road to five lanes (two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane), with bike lanes and sidewalks; construction of a new intersection at Ellsworth Road, and a new traffic signal at the Heritage Loop intersection. Utility relocations are currently scheduled for spring 2014, with construction to being mid-2014, and completion estimated for spring 2015.
