As part of the Town of Queen Creek’s ongoing efforts to encourage small business growth in the community, free weekly brown bag training workshops will be hosted by the Maricopa Small Business Development Center (SBDC) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday at the QC Incubator, located at 22308 S. Ellsworth Rd.
In partnership with the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, workshops will be video conferenced at the QC Incubator live from the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation at Gateway Community College in Phoenix. Small business owners and entrepreneurs are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch and learn important information and ideas that will help generate success. This week's workshop will feature:
• Feb. 20 – The Truth about Credit Card Processing: This presentation by Bear Thomas will focus on the basics of card processing including what the system really looks like and how it works. Different pricing systems, pros and cons, how to look at the monthly statement as well as the “Effective Rate” method of determining the true cost of using an outsourced credit system will be covered.
